Don’t veto Daniel Vidot !

Although 8 Games is all Centre Daniel Vidot has played for the Canberra Raiders, his try scoring abilities forced Qld selectors to have a closer look at the newcomer. Vidot, 19, was the youngest player selected by Queensland Academy of Sport for the emerging Origin squad camp in Brisbane. Unphased by that prospect, he received such lauds from Academy and Super Coach Wayne Bennett “The first thing I thought was, ‘what a great athlete he is’, but he also looked good with the football and it says something about him that the state selectors nominated him at such a young age.” Raiders Coach David Furner was hoping this teaser taste of rep footy will give his young player an extra bit of confidence in his game, adding he was also impressed with his off season work ethic. Daniel Vidot is on the books at DT HQ for $103,700 in CTW position.
