NSW Origin hopeful Kade Snowden has been robbed of his final chance to impress Blues selectors after accepting a one week suspension. The emerging Sharks forward is one of a number of up-and-coming stars in line to represent a new generation Blues team in Origin III. But the Cronulla bookend has been rubbed out of his final audition before the Blues side is selected, pleading guilty to a grade one dangerous contact with a kicker charge from last Sunday’s loss to St George Illawarra. Snowden has been strongly tipped to be ushered onto the NSW bench with a view to becoming a future Blues enforcer but will miss the opportunity to go head-to-head with Queensland prop Matt Scott when Cronulla play North Queensland on Saturday night.

Another NSW Origin hopeful, Wests Tigers backrower Chris Heighington, is clear to play against the Dragons on Friday night after pleading guilty to a dangerous throw but escaping suspension.
